1. Print out the picture according to the photo parameters by inkjet printer. Importantly, note that the glossy side is the printable side.
2. Dry the ink by nature or by hair drier.
3. After printing, then spray the gloss oil on the pattern surface uniformly.
4. Dry the gloss oil by nature or by hair drier.
5. Cut the pattern along the periphery by 1 mm from the pattern.
6. Soak it in water for about 30 seconds, and then slide the coating and paper adequately by nature.
7. Spread the base paper slowly to make the transfer printing coating sticker to the product surface.
8. Damp and soft the alabaster paper, dischange the bubble and water in the film sufficiently, and then dry surface by absorbent paper.
9. For some objects, it need baking in the oven.
How to apply clear inkjet decal paper on candles?

1. Print the candles decoration patterns on clear waterslide decal paper directly via inkjet printer. Ordinary desktop inkjet printers are suitable.
2. After printing, let the pattern dry completely. After the ink dry, cut the size,then spray vanish onto the decals evenly. If spray varnish before the ink is dry, it will affect the durability of the inkjet waterslide decal paper.
3. Let the varnish dry by nature or hair dryer. And then soak the inkjet decal paper into water. After about 30 seonds, the water-soluble glue start to decompose. At this time, the pattern will be apart from base paper. So it can paste the patterns onto candles.

Precautions When Apply Clear Waterslide Paper Inkjet
1. Before printing the inkjet decal paper:
(1) Inkjet water transfer paper is particularly sensitive to moisture. Therefore, ensure that the air is dry when storing the water transfer paper. At the same time, seal inkjet decal paper well to avoid moisture during storage and transportation.
(2) Ensure that the surface of the substrate is clean and dry;
2. When printing & apply clear waterslide paper inkjet:
(1) To clarify the printing side of the inkjet decal paper. The printable side of inkjet waterslide paper is the glossy side. Please check the below picture;
(2) Make sure the inkjet waterslide decal paper is clean and free of stains;
(3) When apply inkjet decal paper clear, it’s best to use the clean warm water (about 25℃). Especially use warm water in the winter. In addition, don’t put the waterslide decals into water too long time. 20~30 seconds are usually enough.
(4) After printing, do not acrylic spray until the ink is completely dry;
(5) After acrylic spray, soak the waterslide decal pattern into water until the decal is completely dry.
(6) What’s kind of acrylic spray paint to use?
I use SANO brand AEROSOL PAINT (190 vanish). This spray paint is transparent and shiny. It is a quick-drying thermoplastic acrylic aerosol paint. It can protect the pattern ink after printing the inkjet waterslide decal paper.
3. After printing & apply inkjet decal paper:
(1) Only touch the decal pattern until the ink is completely dry. Let it dry by nature or hair dryer.
(2) please ensure to remove moisture and bubbles before baking the waterslide decals. Otherwise, it will affect the clarity of the pattern.
(3) Oven: industrial oven or household oven are both suitable.
Main function: it can makes the adhesion of waterslide decals stronger and scratch resistant.
Kind note: For different materials, it can adjust the baking temperature and time flexibly.
For example, the baking temperature of high-temperature resistant ceramic products is 160 degrees, the time is 30 minutes. If for non-high-temperature plastic products, it is 50~70 degrees, and the time can be 10~15 minutes.
(4) After transferring the pattern, the color will fade if exposed to outdoor ultraviolet light for one month,because inkjet decal paper uses water-based dye inks. Water-based dyes will decompose under ultraviolet radiation. So do not expose the inkjet water transfer decals to ultraviolet light for too long.
Performance Test of Inkjet Decal Paper
①Print: download pictures or other digital resources from the Internet. Use Epson, HP, Lexmark, Canon and other inkjet printers to print test patterns.
②Printer settings: “Photo Quality Glossy Film”, “Custom” mode, print quality “Photo 5760dpi”, “High Quality Half toning”, “Photo Enhanced”, “High” resolution.
③Ink drying time: Print a test pattern on the inkjet waterslide decal paper sample. Open the printer cover, observe the ink drying with the naked eye. And record the ink drying time just after printing with a stopwatch. The ink drying time is preferably less than 1 minute.
④Water resistance test: Put the inkjet decal paper with the test pattern in the water for two hours. Observe the layer with naked eyes, and the layer should not fade.
⑤ Finger rub test: Put the inkjet waterslide decal paper printed with the test pattern in the water. Rub the image with your fingers, and observe the image change with naked eyes. It is advisable that there is no damage.
⑥Release test: soak the inkjet water transfer paper with the printed pattern in water. The film containing the image can be apart from the base paper. It requires that the film carrying the image can be smoothly apart from the base paper within 60 seconds. That is, the release time of the inkjet decal paper is required to be fast. And there is no residue after stripping.
Structural Characteristics of Clear Waterslide Paper Inkjet
The structure of inkjet water transfer paper mainly composes of base paper layer, water-soluble resin coating layer and inkjet receiving layer.
The base paper of inkjet decal paper is made of pure wood pulp fiber. It has sufficient strength, stiffness and smoothness. The water absorption is fast, and the dimensional stability after water absorption is better.
The water-soluble resin coating is the key to separating the pattern from the base paper. It is mainly obtained by coating water-soluble polymer on base paper. The coating amount of the water-soluble resin coating must be uniform, otherwise it will affect the quality of the water transfer printing. The selected polymer can be a natural polymer or a synthetic polymer.
Its main function is to separate the film carrying the inkjet printing pattern from the base paper layer. When the water absorption starts, the water-soluble resin is dissolved, and the film carrying the inkjet printing pattern is separated from the water-soluble resin layer.
